Music makes the world go round.
I listened to a lot of music while I was ruminating on my ‘Novel Zero’. This the painful first novel most writers have sitting in their bottom drawer, but (with the benefit of hindsight) are secretly glad never got published. In my case, music wove through the narrative and received several direct mentions as one of my main characters owned a sizeable vinyl collection. So, while that novel won’t ever see the light of day, the playlist that was on heavy rotation as I wrote it — and the Hole song that kicked it all off — live on. It’s a diverse mix, enjoy.
